Türkiye at the Cannes Film Festival
Turkish Cinema is being presented at the Cannes Film Festival at the Turkish Pavillion, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema and Bosphorus Culture&Arts Foundation. Within the scope of the Marché du Film, completed projects in the genres of feature, short, documentary and animation, which are in the process of production and development, are being showcased in the arena. Production companies and festivals operating in Türkiye are also presented to professionals with catalogs. Co-production and project opportunities, which have become very important in the cinema sector for reasons such as information and technology transfer, access to local funding sources, the creation of potential markets and the development of promotional activities, will also be discussed at the Marché du Film. In addition, the “Foreign Film Production Support”, which has come into force with the new cinema law and allows foreign filmmakers to be refunded up to 30 percent of the amount they spend in Turkey for feature films, documentaries and television series, will continue to be explained to international filmmakers at the Marché du Film.
